Claud Butler Alpina 1.0 Mountain Bike - Grey
The Claud Butler Alpina 1.0 is the introductory model to the all-new Alpina range – designed to help you cover anything from the many miles of canal towpath right through to the thrill of off-road trail riding.
Using Shimano’s latest CUES series drivetrain components, the 2x9 drivetrain offers all the gears you could need with a 22/36t chainset and 11-36t cassette. We have also stayed with Shimano for the brakes, using their ever-reliable MT200 hydraulic disc brakes that offer consistent and reliable stopping power.
The Alpina was always about developing a mountain bike that could handle the demands of UK trail centres and off-piste wild tracks, and central to that is modern-thinking frame geometry, specifically built around a 100mm fork and 29in wheels. Longer top tubes and slacker head angles combined with super short 45mm stems and ultra-wide 750mm handlebars result in a confidence inspiring ride that feels controlled while you enjoy the thrill of the trail. Adding to this, we’ve used 29x2.25” WTB Ranger tyres that are known for their fast-rolling, good puncture resistance and good grip across a range of trail conditions.
All in, the Alpina 1.0 is a diverse bike suited to a variety of riding environments and is ready to tackle whatever you can throw at it.

CONDITION AND SETUP
Brand new and sealed in a box, this bike comes part built. Fitting of pedals, stem handlebars, front wheel & saddle, as well as a general check over and tighten of all fixings on pre-assembled parts (spoke tension, crank etc). The brakes & gears (if the bike has gears) may require adjustment as part of the setup and once they have settled in. Further adjustments will need to be made over time to the bicycle to ensure ongoing safe use. We highly recommend a professional completes the setup for you if you are not confident of doing this yourself.
