A welcomed addition to the Basis bicycle brand. Over the years the Basis brand has expanded, recruiting new models in the attempt to form a well rounded range that appeals to all walks of life. So far, we think we've done pretty well, however, there has certainly been a calling for an affordable folding bicycle that accommodates for a commuter or city go-ers lifestyle. The Compact does exactly that, and very well.
Based around a robust Steel folding frame, designed with a OSFA geometry to suit a vast array of riders. Fear you're too tall? The Compact's lengthy seatpost offers plenty of adjustment to adapt to each rider. Utilising the evidently popular & incredibly practical 20" wheel, this charmer performs brilliantly cutting through the city traffic, before neatly folding to stow on the train or within your limited flat space. Although designed for the city, it's 6 speed Shimano gearing system and responsive V-Brakes add a touch of versatility, so no need to shy away from a detour...
Finished with twin mudguards to ensure you arrive presentably, the Compact ticks every box of the average city-goer.

Condition & Setup:
Brand new and sealed in a box. This Bike will arrive to you 80% assembled.
Fitment of pedals, stem handlebars, front wheel & saddle is required, as well as a general check over and tighten of all fixings on pre-assembled parts (spoke tension, crank nuts, rear wheel nuts etc).
The brakes & gearing may need adjustment as part of the bicycles assembly and general servicing after initial use and throughout ownership. We strongly recommend professional assembly & servicing if you dont feel confident with bicycle mechanics.

OK bike Bad customer service
Ordered two bikes, one came with boxed opened but contents undamaged built it no problem just set up brakes. Second bike came two days later (even though they were sent at the same time and got a message it was to be delivered day before but got no message that it was going to be dalayed. Phoned the courier day after and was told the driver was running late.) the box was ok but the bike was hell to set up brakes were no problem but the gears were whacked out. Emailed customer services and got a email day after saying you should get it checked out at Halfords or another local shop. I would of excpected CS to ask me to phone them so I could talk with an expert maybe the gears were faulty. But I did manage to fix the issue but it's not as issue that I would of excpect from a new bike. So long story short buy from some where else who will take some care about the products they sell.
