Falcon Cobalt Bike 20" Kids Full Suspension Mountain - Red
The Falcon Cobalt Full Suspension 20" bike has been designed specifically for junior riders aged 7-9 years looking for a great ride combining style and performance.
Unlike many other brands, Falcon have designed their junior full suspension bikes specifically for younger riders with an uninterrupted suspension design that can accommodate a longer seat-post to provide greater adjustment as the rider grows, unlike old fashioned “Y” frames. This clever design not only allows more adjustment but results in a stronger frame and more enjoyable ride.
The hi-tensile steel frame is strong and durable while front and rear suspension provides extra comfort when the riding gets rough with a soft spring rate suitable for junior riders. The front suspension fork and rear shock absorber feature springs that are specifically chosen for younger riders, with springs rates to soak up the bumps when riding off road while the MTB saddle with extra padding takes care of the rest for a more comfortable ride.
As well as being great looking, the Cobalt has a great spec to match. 6-speed gearing is powered by a Shimano rear derailleur and Revoshift shifter, ensuring smooth gear changes without losing grip of the handlebars. The double-sided chainwheel guard protects fingers and clothes and prevents the chain from slipping off the chainring.
MTB style pedals provide reassuring grip and the soft compound handlebar grips are durable and comfortable to hold. Braking is taken care of by reliable front and rear V-brakes with specially designed reach-adjustable brake levers that can be adjusted to accommodate smaller hands.
The Cobalt is ideally suited to grow with young riders thanks to the longer 200mm seat post, adjustable saddle fore and aft position and quill handlebar stem that can be adjusted up and down to suit. The wheels are assembled with strong yet lightweight alloy rims and knobbly MTB tyres for extra grip when riding off-road.
The Falcon Cobalt dual suspension mountain bike is a bike that stands out for all the right reasons and a great bike for learning to use gears and suspension. Suitable for children aged 7-9 years. Inside leg measurement of 53-60 cm/21-25".
